Domesticated provides consumers with a, fun, easy-to-navigate database of US based businesses and their and an curated array of their respective products. Users will be able to search the companies that make the products (useful for both consumers and retailers looking for wholesale) and go directly to the manufacturers site to purchase the products. In the future, there will be an e-commerce feature deployed seamlessly to bring the experience full circle, allowing users to purchase products directly from the supplier using Domesticated.
Domesticated provides businesses with a powerful tool to reach prospective consumers. Most consumers on the site will be heavily interested in learning more about the companies and the products that offer them. “At the moment there is large, untapped marketing potential for domestically manufactured goods, similar to the ‘green’ movement years ago and more recently with ‘organic’ foods explosion.” - Co-founder, Matt Steedman states. “There are many Americans that would like to support the American economy by buying domestically, but they are overwhelmed by the amount of foreign made products that have flooded retail in the last few decades. These consumers ultimately give up, frustrated in their inability to find anything made in the United States.” - adds Co-Founder, Christopher Carter
